It's a story about a girl constantly off balance between the effort to proceed and the impossibility to go through .
It’s about the affirmation of the self in the society, not by trying to reproduce reality, nor by taking a Polaroid, but trying to express an atmosphere and giving a feeling able to evoke the subject.
We swim through all this with a sense of humor, in order to survive!

Performance suitable for any kind of space, even urban space.

 


GISELDA and ELIA
both with classical and contemporary background, in 2010 they’ve been invited for an artistic residency by Takla Improvising Group at the contemporary art museum of Triennale of Milano, since then they’ve been working together on different projects and events.
In 2016 their work i…i…io?! has been awarded with the prize for the best direction at the ACT Festival in Bilbao (ES), they are part of the IYMA international network.

GISELDA RANIERI
was born in Genova in 1983. Ballet and contemporary dancer, since 2008 she keeps her research focused on instant composition, often cooperating with Takla Improvising Group (Piccole Meraviglie, Festival PULSI) and various musicians (Enrico Intra, Giovanni Falzone, Filippo Monico, Giancarlo Locatelli). Ranieri co-founds UBIdanza with Aline Nari and Davide Frangioni and works within the company since 2008. Her cooperation with ALDES and Roberto Castello starts in 2010. She got a degree in Performing Arts specialized in Dance at DAMS University in Bologna with dance historian Professor Eugenia Casini Ropa. Throughout the years she has studied dance with Dominique Dupuy, Carolyn Carlson, Julyen Hamilton, Katie Duck, Ivan Wolfe, Giorgio Rossi, Virgilio Sieni, Michele Abbondanza, Aline Nari, Simona Bertozzi, Manuel Ronda and acting with Danio Manfredini and Teatro delle Moire.
