Caterina Basso is a dancer and choreographer. She graduated in Communication Sciences with a thesis in Theater Semiology. In 2006 she was selected for the choreographic research course IFA of Polverigi, at the end of which he presented her first choreographic work. Since 2007 she has collaborated with Roberto Castello, dancing in all productions until 2011 and she also works with other companies including Motus, Ariella Vidach, Laura Moro, Silvia Traversi. In the same years she spent intensive periods of study in Tel Aviv with Batsheva Dance Company, in Berlin, guest of the company Sasha Waltz, and in New York. In 2009 she began working with Ambra Senatore for the Passo duo, which won the Premio Equilibrio in Roma. Since then she works between Italy and France with the company of Ambra Senatore, now director of the Center Chorégraphique National of Nantes: she is an interpreter and collaborator in the creation of Step quintet, Studio, A place, Salad with poison, Petites briques, Pièces and Aringa Rossa, He made her debut at the Lyon Biennial and was presented successfully at the Théatre de la Ville in Paris in February 2015. In 2014 she was a performer in Untitled and Mondo Novo by Jerome Bel. In 2013 he created her first solo Il volume com'era within the Prima Danza project of the Venice Biennale, which is selected by the Anticorpi XL 2014 network and gets the best prize only Masdanza 2015. His second solo Un minimo distacco debuted at the Inteatro Festival in 2016.
